Healing That Comes From Someone Who Has Actually Been There
Who I Work With
I work with women who are carrying more than they let on.
Most of them are high-functioning. They have careers, relationships, responsibilities. From the outside, everything looks fine. On the inside, they’re exhausted in a way that doesn’t go away with rest, running on hypervigilance they’ve mistaken for productivity, and following paths that stopped feeling like their own a long time ago.
They come to somatic therapy because traditional talk therapy helped them understand their patterns but didn’t quite change them. Or because they’ve never tried therapy before and something finally pushed them to reach out. Or because they found Therapy with Gigi through a sound bath and wanted to go deeper.
Whatever brought you here, you don't have to arrive with the right words or a clear explanation. That's not a prerequisite for this work. I am here to meet you exactly where you are on your journey.
My Story
Healing Hearts Sanctuary was born from my own journey of loss, resilience, and deep healing.
I grew up in a home shaped by both love and pain. I experienced grief and rupture early in life that changed how I understood safety, connection, and belonging. The cycles I witnessed became the ones I am committed to breaking.
Like many people who grow up in environments shaped by trauma, I found myself navigating my own healing journey as an adult. That process led me beyond traditional talk therapy and into the body, the nervous system, and the deeper layers of emotional and energetic healing.
Healing Hearts Sanctuary was also built in response to burnout from systems that felt misaligned with how healing actually works. I wanted to build something where people are met as whole humans, not sorted into diagnoses. As a licensed clinical social worker, I view everything in the lens of systems and take a person in environment approach.
I also found somatic therapy, sound healing, yoga, breathwork, and Reiki. Not as additions to the clinical work but as practices that changed things in ways I couldn’t get from sitting in a chair and talking. I weave them into everything I do now because I’ve experienced firsthand what they can unlock.
A Somatic and Relational Approach to Healing
My work is somatic and relational, and those two words matter.
Somatic means we work with the body, not just your thoughts. Trauma, anxiety, and burnout are not stored in your mind. They live in the way your shoulders brace before a hard conversation, the way your breath shortens when someone needs something from you, the way your body goes quiet when it should speak up. Somatic therapy reaches those places.
Relational means the relationship between us is part of how the healing happens. You get to practice being in a relationship that is safe, honest, and boundaried, which for a lot of people is the first time that has ever felt possible. That experience is not something you can get from reading about it.
Sessions are collaborative and paced by you.
We might use somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, boundary work, breathwork, or mindfulness depending on what is alive for you that week. There is no protocol you have to follow.
I also want to be honest about something: sometimes things feel harder before they feel clearer. We are not papering over anything here. We are actually facing it. That takes time and it takes courage, and I will stay with you through it.
