Virtual Somatic Therapy for Women with Anxiety and Trauma
Most people who find somatic therapy have already tried talking about their problems. It helped some. But something didn’t fully shift.
Somatic therapy works differently. Rather than analyzing what happened, we work with what your body is still holding. The way anxiety lives in your chest before you can even name what you’re anxious about. The way old relationship patterns show up in your posture, your breath, your silence. That’s where somatic therapy works, and that’s why it tends to reach places that traditional talk therapy doesn’t.
This Might Be the Right Fit If You…
Feel anxious even when nothing is technically wrong.
Say yes when you mean no and spend the next hour regretting it.
Are exhausted in a way that sleep doesn’t fix.
Have been the strong one in every relationship for as long as you can remember and you’re not sure that’s sustainable anymore.
Understand your patterns but keep repeating them anyway.
Have tried therapy before and found it useful but incomplete.
Feel like your body and your mind are working against each other.
Are moving through a life transition, a relationship shift, or a family pattern that has brought something old to the surface.
What Somatic Therapy Actually Looks Like
Anxiety, trauma, and burnout are not stored in your thoughts. They live in the body, in the nervous system, in patterns of bracing and shutting down that your body learned a long time ago because they kept you safe. Somatic therapy works at that level.
In sessions, we pay attention to what your body is doing, not just what your mind is saying. We might notice where tension lives, what happens in your body when you talk about certain things, or where you go quiet in ways you haven’t noticed before. That information is useful. It is often more honest than the story.
The relational piece matters too. A lot of the patterns that bring people to therapy, people-pleasing, hypervigilance, difficulty trusting, show up in relationship. So the relationship between us becomes part of the work. You get to practice something different in real time.
Sessions follow your pace, not a protocol. Some weeks are heavier. Some are quieter. I bring somatic awareness, nervous system tools, boundary work, parts work, breathwork, and mindfulness depending on what is most alive for you. And I want to be honest: healing is not linear and it is not fast. Sometimes things feel harder before they feel clearer because we are actually moving through them instead of around them.

If you have ever felt like you understand your patterns but something still won’t shift, somatic therapy is probably worth exploring. It tends to be particularly effective for anxiety, trauma, burnout, people-pleasing, and the kind of chronic exhaustion that doesn’t respond to rest. The best way to know if it’s the right fit is to get on a free 15-minute consultation call. There is no obligation to move forward.
-
We start with a free 15-minute consultation first. That’s a real conversation about what’s bringing you in, what you’ve tried before, and whether this feels like the right fit for both of us. If we decide to move forward, the first full session is about getting to know each other and starting to understand what you’re carrying. There is nothing to prepare. Gigi will guide the conversation from the start.

Every person has a unique timeline. Most clients start to notice real shifts within three to six months. Some find they reach their goals and are ready to move on. Others choose to continue long term, adjusting the frequency of sessions depending on what life is bringing them. Gigi will always be honest with you about where you are and what she is noticing.
